Refreshing Spiced Cherry & Apple Drink

Easy homemade fruit juice recipe, how to make spiced cherry juice, clove and cinnamon fruit drink, refined sugar-free juice option.

This is the drink I make every single week, and every person who tries it asks me for the recipe!

You will lose your mind when you drink this. It features a unique blend of cloves, cinnamon, fresh apple, orange, sweet cherries, and a touch of beet. They are unique ingredients that you might never think to put together—but trust me on this one. Today, I’m showing you my signature version. Let’s go!

Ingredients

  • 2 apples
  • 1 lb (450g) sweet cherries
  • 1 orange
  • 2 to 3 cinnamon sticks
  • ½ cup (100g) sugar (or a 1:1 sugar substitute)
  • 10-15 whole cloves
  • A pinch of salt
  • 2 liters water

Instructions

The Water Base:Pour your water into a large pot or pan. Add your cloves—this is a key ingredient for the flavor profile, so don’t skip it! Peel your orange and add the peel to the water. Toss in the sugar (or substitute), cinnamon sticks, and a pinch of salt. Give everything a little stir and cook this mixture over medium-high heat until it comes to a boil.

Preparing The Fruit: While the water base is on the stove, chop the apple, the remaining orange, and the small beet. They don’t need to be perfect since we are going to blend everything anyway. Add your sweet cherries to the blender and pulse until they become nice and juicy. Add the apple, orange, and beet pieces into the blender. Blend everything together until it is completely smooth and juicy. Mix all your blended fruit together in a bowl and set it aside.

Combining: Once the water is boiling and your kitchen smells amazing, take the pot off the heat. Add all of your blended fruit mixture into the hot water base and stir until everything is fully combined. Leave the pot out to cool down to room temperature, then cover it and place it in the fridge for 12 hours.

The Finish: It’s been 12 hours! All the flavors have come together and it smells absolutely incredible. Now, strain the liquid through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth—just like making lemonade—to separate the clear juice from the fruit pulp. It’s clean, it’s clear, and it’s ready to serve.
